8 schools retrieved from illegal occupants in Muzaffargarh


The district administration as per instructions of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif Monday conducted a crackdown on illegal occupants of state land.

A team headed by District Coordination Officer Tahir Khurshid Ch comprising Assistant Commissioner Shafiq Abbas, Tehsildar Aamer Ch, TMA staff and police conducted raids at Kotadu and Muzaffargarh sub-divisions. Sources said eight girls primary schools of Pipli, Mehranabad, Ishaq Wah, Bahar Shah, Thaheem Wali Chak Alam Shah, Pirwah and Jamani Khakhi were retrieved from influential people who had turned these schools into cattle farms. Sources said 304 kanal land of forest department Kotadu, 27 kanal of livestock, 51 kanal of Ehsanpur seed farm, 814 kanal of Punjnad headwork, 5193 kanal of Muzaffargarh canal, 2237 of Kotadu and 56,428 kanal of Forest department Muzaffargarh got vacated from the occupants. DCO Tahir Khurshid said it was a great success of the administration to retrieve state land primary schools.
